Discover our courses for the preparation of the TECFÉE, or Test de Certification en Français Écrit pour l'Enseignement.
This program is designed for people who wish to take the TECFÉE test to certify their level of French. The TECFÉE test assesses the language proficiency expected of a person pursuing a university education in teaching to become a language teacher.
The TECFÉE consists of two parts: a multiple-choice questionnaire and an essay test. Please note that during the writing test, it is possible to have a dictionary.
According to the UQAM website, the pass mark for each of the two parts of the TECFÉE is 70% for all students enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in teaching or a qualifying Master's degree in teaching. For students enrolled in the English as a Second Language program and the Career and Technical Education program, the threshold is set at 55%.
Our teachers help students check their level of French and then improve it while optimizing their revision for the Test de Certification en Français Écrit pour l'Enseignement, or TECFÉE. During the first class, an evaluation of the student's level allows us to better identify his or her needs. The teacher then structures the course around the student's weak points and gives him/her targeted exercises to prepare him/her before the exam.
